Job description

Summary

KARL STORZ is a global MedTech leader specializing in advanced endoscopic technologies, surgical instrumentation, and visualization systems. The Onsite Endoscopic Specialist supports hospital OR, SPD, and BioMed teams by preparing, troubleshooting, servicing, and managing medical equipment and instruments to ensure seamless surgical operations and clinical readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site support and expert service to OR, SPD, and BioMed teams to ensure seamless surgical operations
  • Set up, inspect, and troubleshoot video towers, camera systems, light sources, and other KARL STORZ technologies
  • Support surgical procedures by identifying and resolving equipment-related issues in real time
  • Coordinate repairs, exchanges, and service requests while maintaining visibility into equipment status and inventory
  • Transport, clean, sterilize, package, and inspect surgical instruments to ensure procedural readiness and compliance
  • Build trusted relationships with hospital personnel by delivering exceptional service and technical support

Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in healthcare, sterile processing, surgical technology, medical device support, sales, customer service, or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across clinical teams
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-focused environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and reporting tools
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting and transporting equipment up to 25 pounds
  • A customer-first mindset and passion for supporting healthcare professionals
  • Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities in high-pressure clinical environments
  • The ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, processes, and products
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A collaborative approach that fosters strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and clinical staff
  • Professional communication skills and confidence interacting with stakeholders at all levels
  • Associate's degree or higher
  • CRCST certification or willingness to obtain certification
  • Experience supporting surgical instruments, endoscopy equipment, or medical devices
