Summary

The Associate Client Manager manages client relationships from implementation and problem resolution through renewal, maintains senior-level client and broker contacts, and supports retention and growth of an assigned book of business.
Responsibilities
- The Associate Client Manager (ACM) is responsible for the overall relationship with the client, from implementation, everyday problem resolution through renewal activities
- The ACM may work directly with sales executives on small groups that are sold
- ACMs typically have a book of business with 15 to 20 clients and typically support groups with fewer than 300 employees
- This position may have minimal assistance from a Client Coordinator
- They maintain senior management level contact with Benefits, Human Resources, and the financial staff of the client and assigned broker partners
- ACMs also work on internal projects that benefit and support clients and/or the client management organization
- ACMs are charged with retaining and growing their assigned book of business
- The Associate Client Manager (ACM) is responsible for the overall relationship with the client, from implementation, everyday problem resolution through renewal activities
- The ACM may work directly with sales executives on new groups that are sold
- ACMs typically have a book of business volume will depend on size and complexity, generally not more than 6 accounts at start
- This position will have assistance from a Client Coordinator
- They maintain senior management level contact with Client Benefits staff and assigned broker partners as well as Sales and Account Management (SAM) partners at HCSC
- ACMs are charged with maintaining high levels of satisfaction with their assigned book of business
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree and 2 years previous Client Management experience and/or experience in a similar TPA or insurance environment with client-facing/client support responsibilities or High school diploma or GED equivalent required and 6 years industry experience
- Results oriented and self-motivated
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Organizational, analytical, problem-solving solving and time management skills are required
- Insurance license
- Understanding of self-funding and employee benefit plans
- Knowledge and understanding of benefit-related federal laws (i.e., ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, etc.)
- Stop loss understanding is a plus
