Summary
Thermo Fisher Scientific develops laboratory products and services that support scientific research and help make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. The Account Manager II will support a strategic academic account, build customer relationships, execute sales strategies, identify business opportunities, and deliver scientific solutions. The role partners with scientists, teammates, and cross-functional colleagues to provide an exceptional customer experience and grow the academic partnership.
Responsibilities
- Partner with world-class scientists across a broad range of disciplines while representing Thermo Fisher Scientific's industry-leading portfolio of laboratory products and services
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, execute sales strategies, identify new business opportunities, and deliver innovative scientific solutions that help our customers advance their research
- Partnering closely with teammates and cross-functional colleagues to provide an exceptional customer experience
- Building relationships across a complex research environment, uncovering growth opportunities, and contributing to Thermo Fisher Scientific's mission of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer
- Helping grow one of Thermo Fisher Scientific's most strategic academic partnerships
Skills
- * Bachelor's degree required
- * Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence customer decisions and develop long-term partnerships
- * Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-based selling environment while effectively managing individual responsibilities and contributing to shared account goals
- * Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and identify opportunities for customer growth
- * Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
- * Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 70% within the assigned territory
- * Demonstrated commitment to Thermo Fisher Scientific's values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement
- Degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field preferred
- Two years of sales experience, laboratory/research experience, or a combination of both is preferred but not required
